The Cross-border Workshop on Laser Science is an annual student-run meeting bringing together researchers from diverse photonics-related fields from universities in the Great Lakes region of Canada and the US.

The 2007 meeting will be held at the University of Toronto in downtown Toronto Ontario. The meeting will consist of three days of invited talks and student poster sessions. It is intended to encourage interaction between graduate students and leading professors in laser sciences and to expose participants to important laser-related research outside of their usual field.
